The Roxbury Fire Department is comprised of three fire companies in town: Company 1 Succasunna, Company 2 Landing, Company 3 Berkshire Valley, with a total of 95 members with 52 being within in Company 1, Which was Established in 1917 the department now responds to more than 1000 fire calls annually. The department protects a population of 24,000 in 22 sq. miles in a Suburban type area.
